Dozens came out to Anderson Hospital Saturday morning to learn about and even enroll in the affordable care act.
The enrollment process was set to begin at 10 a.m., but when they opened the doors almost an hour early, many applicants were already waiting. Ambetter is the organization registering qualified applicants. Six were on hand to take applications, and representative Charles Young, Jr. says the goal was simply to help individuals get the coverage they need.
"People that fall below the poverty level, we're trying to make sure that we get their information so that we can try to get them on the Medicaid role if we're not able to get them on the insurance role," he says.
If you're interested in enrolling with the affordable care act, you can also visit the official website at healthcare.gov to learn more about qualifying for enrollment.
