Blood Donations Still Needed

Blood donations are still very much in need in our area as the holiday season begins.

Newscenter 11 stopped by United Blood Services in Meridian on Sunday afternoon for an update on a week long blood drive going on there. That drive began Friday in conjunction with the premiere of the latest Twilight movie and will continue through this Friday. United Blood Services officials say there is always an increased need for blood during the holiday season. The bloodmobile will be making the rounds across the state this week as well.

You can donate on Monday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. United Blood Services is closed on Thursday, but will be open on Black Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
