More than a hundred Boy Scouts are spending an adventure-filled week at Camp Binachi.
Scout executive, Ken Kercheval, says scouts learn life-saving and outdoor skills, as well as shooting sports. He says they come away as more independent young men, but they also have a lot of fun.
"We've battled some rain, but that doesn't stop the boys," said Kercheval. "We have so much learning and fun activities going on. This is the heart of scouting. This is where it happens."
Camp Binachi is located in southern Lauderdale County. It has been the camp for the Choctaw Area Boy Scouts Council for more than fifty years.
