Burglaries Create Problems for Fire Departments

The Alamucha and Center Ridge volunteer fire departments in Lauderdale County were burglarized over the weekend. Both had most of their equipment, besides the trucks, stolen.

It's going to make firefighting difficult for them and they're looking for solutions.

County fire coordinator Allan Dover says Lauderdale County is trying to secure funding sources to replace the equipment that was stolen from both fire stations.

"Our main goal right now is to try and get this equipment back out there before we have a call where we need to have it, or where we are going to have to use it," Dover said.

Officials say if you have any information about the burglaries to contact the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, or Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.
