Meridian, Miss. The Meridian Civil Service Commission has released its ruling in the case of a fired Meridian police officer.
The commission Friday issued its decision, upholding the firing of Officer Adam Meadors, meaning he will not get his job back.
Meadors was fired in 2013 after posting a picture on Facebook that some considered racist of two chimps identified as a mayor and police chief.
The commission released its unanimous decision about 4:30 p.m. Friday.
