Meridian police say the death of a woman recently found in a pond has been ruled accidental.
Police said Wednesday the Mississippi Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death of Jamie Wilkes an accident due to hypothermia.
Wilkes' body was found half-submerged in a pond Mar. 27, 2013, after she had been missing for three weeks.
Police say they believe Wilkes died while stuck in the mud of the drained pond in below-freezing temperatures.
