Charge Upgraded in Macon Case

Macon, Miss. Macon police have upgraded charges against a man they say stabbed 33-year-old Eddie Harmon in the heart with a fork.

Harmon was taken to a Meridian hospital July 12 and died there Wednesday.

55-year-old James E. Gullery, of Macon, was originally charged with aggravated assault. He is now accused of manslaughter.

Macon Police Chief Lucius Mason says bond was not immediately set and Gullery remained in the Noxubee County Jail.
