Laurel Child Killed in Driveway

An accident in Laurel has claimed the life of a 2-year-old girl.

Authorities told WDAM-TV the mother was
returning from a shopping trip Monday when the 2-year-old ran out to greet her.

Police said the mother apparently didn't see the
child in the driveway and ran over her.

The girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released victim's name.
