Christian Educators Conference

West Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church is hosting a Christian Educators Conference for teachers in the East Mississippi Baptist State Convention.

Host Pastor Odell Hopkins says the ultimate goal for educators is to get enough training to start their own programs at their individual churches.

"The ultimate goal is to receive a dean's certification," says Hopkins, "and [with that class] they will be qualified to be a dean to set up their own school within their own local churches."

The conference continues tomorrow at West Mount Moriah M.B. Church on Woods Road in Lauderdale County.
