A local church has a fundraiser set for Saturday.
Pentecostals of House, located in the House community on Highway 19 North, will have a fish fry and charity auction Saturday.
Members say the goal for the fundraiser is adding a new sanctuary. The church is currently meeting in its fellowship hall. The event also coincides with the church's 15th anniversary celebration.
"We're in a building program," said church member, Rachel Warren. "This will be Brother and Sister Fulton's third building program, so we're excited over getting our new buildings built and we just want all of you to come out and enjoy a good platter of Mississippi-raised farm catfish."
"We've seen a lot of signs, wonders and miracles over the last 15 years, have a lot of wonderful memories and we hope for many more years to come," said Pastor Barry Fulton. "We have a great vision of this church growing and us finishing our building program."
The fish fry starts at 4 p.m. Saturday. The cost of the meals is $8 each. Gospel music starts at 6 p.m. It will be followed by the auction at 7 p.m. The public is invited.
