Wesley United Methodist Church has been hosting a chili cook-off for 30 years now.
Organizers say the money raised could possibly be used for a renovation project.
But officials say the best part was having everyone show up to eat chili.
"Cause people from all over Meridian come," organizer Virginia Rushing says. "Not just this community. We have people that used to be members here and family members come. My grandson is here. He came from Mississippi State to eat chili today. So, it's just good to see everybody and fellowship."
First, second, and third place awards were handed out for best chili.
