Philadelphia Mayor James Young presided over Tuesday's sessions. He commended conference organizer, Dr. Keith Parker, for promoting a conversation about serious issues.
"His passion about Mississippi, changing how we think about Mississippi and actually projecting a new Mississippi. And if we proclaim to be new then we're going to have to take this to the next level," said Young.
