A Coast Guard airplane was forced to make an emergency landing at Meridian's Key Field today . . . Following an apparent engine failure.
Airport officials say the pilot of the HC-144A developed problems with an engine and had to shut it down. The aircraft was flying with only one engine.
Emergency officials responded, but the plane landed safely with no injuries.
A Coast Guard crew will come to Meridian to repair the aircraft.
