The executive director of Multi-County Community Service Agency is retiring after 46 years with the agency.
Callie Cole says she has thought about retiring before but stayed because she knew there was still a need in the community.
Cole said Monday she is happy to retire, but still sad to leave. She also says if she is needed in the future, she is willing to lend a hand.
"I really enjoyed working for Multi-County," said Cole. "And I will come in if I'm called to do anything I can to keep the agency going and to keep it as strong as possible because it's well-needed in these communities that we work in."
Angela Hicks will be the interim director until a permanent director is hired by the board.
