Convenience Store Robbed, Suspect Apprehended

Meridian Police say a man robbed a local convenience store on Sunday afternoon in what is the third armed robbery in the city this weekend.

It happened around 1:00 at the Cefco station on Highway 39 North. Authorities say a black male, wearing blue jeans with a gray shirt tied around his head, entered the store with a gun and took the cash drawer before fleeing on foot.

After searching the area, police apprehended the suspect a short time later.
