Some people got an early start on their Christmas shopping at the 28th annual Arts and Crafts Show at the Frank Cochran Center this weekend.
The show is sponsered by the Lauderdale County Homemakers Council and features jewlery, woodwork, cakes, pies, wreaths, and Christmas ornaments, among numerous other items. Council President Judy Harwell says that the money raised goes to a good cause.
"We do this mainly to raise money for the organizations in the city, like Hope Village, Care Lodge, Salvation Army, all the different organizations we like to help," Harwell says. "So all the money we take in at the door and the booth fees are used in the city."
The show takes place on the first weekend of November.
