Critical Need for O Negative

Meridian, Miss. United Blood Services Tuesday announced a critical appeal for type O negative.

UBS says it has less than a one-day supply of blood type O negative and is challenged to meet hospital needs.
O negative blood is the universal blood type.

Donors with type O negative blood are encouraged to schedule a convenient appointment time online. The community may donate blood at United Blood Services’ donor center located at:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday CLOSED
Friday 8 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. 2 p.m.

Volunteer blood donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
