Philadelphia, Miss. The driver involved in a hit and run that led to the death of a 3-year-old girl has turned herself in to Philadelphia police.
Kayzlyn Thomas died of her injuries at University Medical Center, six days after she was struck in the parking lot of Philadelphia Game Stop.
Investigators said Kayzlyn had run out in front of her mother when the car struck her. Officials say the driver, a female, got out but then quickly drove away.
Philadelphia police said Thursday morning that the driver is cooperating and no charges were immediately filed.
Kayzlyn's family is holding a candlelight vigil in her honor Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Philadelphia Game Stop.
