The 10th District Drug Court celebrated its 4th Annual Red Ribbon Week campaign at the Lauderdale County Courthouse.
Representatives from the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, Meridian Main Street, MCC, and nFusionX participated in program, which promotes a drug-free message.
The drug court currently has approximately 87 participants, with several more waiting to enter.
"We want to impress upon, not only the members of drug court, but the community how important it is to be drug-free," said Judge Vel Young. "And this is actually slated to target young people."
Participants in the drug court program also visit schools sharing their personal stories about the harm illegal drug use does to lives.
Officials will be traveling to schools across the area during Red Ribbon Week, spreading the message to stay drug-free.
