A fundraiser for East Central Community College's Warrior football program Friday night features former NFL head football coach, Tony Dungy.
The former Indianapolis Colts coach visited the Decatur campus and appears Friday night at a sold-out event at Neshoba County Coliseum.
Dungy spoke to the media earlier in the day. He spoke mainly about mentoring youth, making sure they set and achieve goals and know how to bounce back from disappointments.
Of course, today's visit is particularly special since Coach Dungy is a good friend of East Central coach, Ken Karcher.
Dungy does say he misses building relationships like he did as a coach, but would not go back to coaching.
Dungy retired from coaching in 2008 after a successful career which included a 2007 Super Bowl victory with the Colts and is now an analyst for NBC's Football Night in America.
He is also the #1 New York Times bestselling author of "Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, and Priorities of a Winning Life" and "Uncommon Marriage: Learning about Lasting Love and Overcoming Life's Obstacles Together".
