A Meridian home was virtually destroyed by fire Wednesday. It happened around 11:30 a.m.
The house is located in the 5900 block of 1st Street.
One person was at home when the fire began, but managed to escape without being injured.
The fire gutted the home. Part of the roof also collapsed.
Fire investigators are still looking into what caused the blaze.
