First Responders Brush Up on Training

By  |

Meridian, Mississippi It's the end of National EMS Week and local first responders spent Saturday preparing to help those in need.

Volunteer responders from all over the area gathered for some hands on training, along with hearing what other emergency officials have to say from first-hand experiences and how to deal with stress caused while on the job. They say the training is very important.

"We have people that come and speak to us, sometimes we do hands on things and it's our day to train and not be under any pressure," Dr. Dorothy Vance says.

This the 25th year the EMR Association has been doing this. Metro Ambulance is located on 17th Avenue in Meridian.
