People with ideas who may not have knowledge about developing a business may benefit from a free, one-day workshop.
The meeting will explain the legal forms of ownership, how to develop a business plan, available loan programs, tax issues, financial statements, employee benefits and marketing.
"Seventy-five years ago EMEPA was a new business," said general manager Wayne Henson. "We got some really good advice from some people and some help with programs that allowed us to meet the needs of people in our community. We think it's time now to turn around and give some of that feedback to new entrepreneurs, new business start-ups."
The workshop will also include instruction for a simple-to-use computer software program designed to assist any form of business.
Reservations are taken first come, first served for the workshop April 18 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the EMEPA auditorium in Meridian.
