Tuscaloosa, Ala. The 22-month-old child whom police in Georgia say died after he was left in an SUV for seven hours is to be laid to rest in Alabama.
Funeral services for Cooper Mills Harris are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at University Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa, followed by a private family burial.
The boy's father faces murder and child cruelty charges in the toddler's death and is being held without bond. He has a hearing in Cobb County Magistrate Court Thursday.
Justin Ross Harris has told police that he was supposed to drive his 22-month-old son to daycare but drove straight to work on June 18 without remembering the boy was strapped in his seat.
Police have said the facts in the case "do not point toward simple negligence."
