GRE Workshop Saturday at MSU Meridian

Meridian, Miss.

An upcoming workshop at MSU Meridian is preparation for the Graduate Record Examination, or GRE. The GRE is mandatory for anyone planning to pursue a degree beyond a bachelor's.

A workshop will be held Saturday, Apr. 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at MSU Meridian's College Park campus.

Dr. Rod Wilson says this workshop prepares students for the exam.

"A lot of folks that take this test often go into them with a high level of stress or anxiety," said Wilson. "And we know from research and in general that high stress basically shuts down the frontal lobe. And so it makes it difficult to think straight. So we want to prepare you in such a way that you allow yourself to get out of the way so that you can do the best you can on the test."

Call 601-484-0140 to register for the workshop. The cost is $40 for MSU students and $60 for others.
