A Kemper County man has been arrested on child molestation charges.
62-year-old Joseph Gaines has been arrested on two counts of lustful touching of a child. He was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into the alleged incidents that happened in mid-July.
Sheriff James Moore says the charges involve two different victims.
"These incidents occurred on July 13th and 14th, down on the Howard Johnson Road area of Kemper County," said Moore.
Gaines' bond was set at $50,000. He has since bonded out of jail.
The case will be presented to the next session of the Kemper County grand jury.
