A ribboncutting ceremony was held at the Hope Village for Children to celebrate the donation of playground equipment.
In a joint effort with Hope Village, Eagle Scout Trevor Boling, and Bimbo Bakeries through its Good Neighbor Project, several play systems were built or refurbished. The purpose is to promote physical activity among the children served by the facility.
Hope Village executive director, Tina Aycock, says she's continually pleased with the support of the community.
"This is just another example of how lucky we at Hope Village are to be a part of this community. The community support is why we are able to do the things, those extra things our children deserve here," Aycock said. "We are so grateful to Bimbo Bakeries for choosing us two years in a row, to provide these excellent recreational opportunities for our kids."
A swing set, a basketball goal, and a refurbished wooden play set were part of the project to benefit children at Hope Village.
