Today, the Tomola Church of God came together to fundraise through a gospel explosion.
Members praised God through singing, dancing, rapping and playing musical instruments. During the show, the members took up a collection to be donated to the outreach foundation. Organizers say it was a show that had two great outcomes - displaying their talents for the Lord and giving back to others.
"The Outreach Foundation was established in 2003. It's a nonprofit organization. If people lost their homes due to a fire, tornado, hurricane or flood, we'll go out and give them toiletries, shoes, purses, things like that, Audria Brown, a local church member explained.
Brown said this is the first event like this that the church has had, but if it's met with success there might be many future gospel explosions.
