Meridian, Miss. Executive director of the Wesley House, Ginger Grissom, spoke publicly Tuesday about the examination the charity is facing.
A preliminary investigation by the Mississippi Secretary of State's Office this summer issued findings questioning the Wesley House's use of money.
The Wesley House addressed those findings and is currently awaiting a report from the office of Delbert Hosemann.
Speaking at the weekly meeting of the Downtown Optimist Club in Meridian, Grissom said she expects good news when this examination is resolved.
"I want to encourage you to ask me back here when I get the Secretary of State's report back because it's going to be a wonderful report," said Grissom. "And I'm thankful, honestly, that they came and did the audit. I'm just not thankful for the misrepresentation by WTOK-TV."
The secretary of state's office has not said when the final report will become available.
