John C. Harris
A former Meridian city councilman was recently found not guilty of a disorderly conduct charge.
The ruling last week in Lauderdale County Justice Court cleared John C. Harris.
The misdemeanor charge was brought by Meridian police in January.
Harris chose not to comment on being found not guilty. But at the time the charge was filed, Harris told Newscenter 11 someone he knows was detained near his home and he was standing in his own yard observing, but did not impede the officers.
Harris said from the beginning he was wrongfully charged.
