Meridian, Miss. A Lauderdale County jury Thursday convicted 23-year-old William Jordan in the death of Aaron Marcus Coleman.
Jordan stood trial this week for the 2011 murder of Coleman, who was missing for about a week before his body was discovered along Interstate 20/59.
Jordan was also found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Leaving court, Jordan said the verdict was unfair. We also got reaction from his attorney.
"I was surprised and disappointed," said Charles Wright, "because I felt he was innocent."
Wright said a possible appeal may hinge on what the sentence is.
Jordan faces 20-40 years in prison. His sentencing date is set for Mar. 27.
