Meridian, Miss. Airmen at Key Field had the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with friends and family on base on Saturday.
Family Day is an annual event where military can bring their loved ones by for food, crafts, games. It is even a chance to meet the big man in red, Santa. Colonel Billy Nabors says the base wants to use this as an opportunity to show its appreciation for all the support families show throughout the year. Families say they love the experience.
"I think it's just awesome that they provide this opportunity where it's kind of business because he's at work, but we get to come and enjoy it so it's pleasure, as well," Bethany Garrett says. "He loved seeing Santa and we love all the little activities that they have as well."
With everything from a cookie decorating station to laser tag, there was something for everyone.
