The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department has found the man they've been searching for after a six-hour standoff outside of a house he was believed to be in.
Sheriff Billy Sollie says the man who they thought was at an address on Seals Rd., Jeremy Boney, had not been taking his prescription medication and had also recently taken mind-altering drugs, according to his mother. His family says he was threatening suicide this morning. So the team was very cautious in today's standoff. After several attempts to contact boney, the S.W.A.T. team threw in two rounds of tear gas and finally, an entry team went inside the home, where he was nowhere to be found.
"Again, this situation was very similar to the situation last Friday. This time the individual was not in the house, but the same measures were taken today as were taken last time and will be taken the next time," he says.
Boney was found two miles away from his home walking down the road. But the sheriff says he was also disturbed to learn that boney was recently posting on Facebook with another girl about being the modern-day Bonnie and Clyde.
The Sheriff's Department says warrants will be signed for his arrest on misdemeanor charges of domestic violence for an altercation with his mother and says they are checking with other law enforcement agencies on other misdemeanor charges against Boney in other jurisdictions.
