Decatur, Miss. The Newton County School District honored retiring principal, Danny Lindsley, by dedicating the elementary gymnasium in his honor.
Lindsley helped implement the Watch Dogs program at the school that encourages fathers to come to the school's campus to help out and provide a positive presence.
Lindsley says the teachers and staff he worked with helped make him a better person.
"I don't feel deserving of this," said Lindsley. "I don't know anything I've done. I've just come and tried to do my job, but it's humbling."
In addition to the gym being named after him, Lindsley was presented with a commemorative key to the campus.
