Local Musician for Duck Dynasty Speaks

Meridian, Miss. A local musician who is heavily involved in the show Duck Dynasty talked about the current controversy over the show.

Meridian's Tony Pasko is one of the music writers for A&E's hit reality show which suspended its lead character, Phil Robertson, earlier this week over remarks he made about homosexuality in an interview with GQ magazine. Pasko says he hopes everything works out.

"I think as a society we should just be very mindful that everybody does have opinions and when people express opinions that are not to our liking or of our taste, that we have to be mindful that they have the same amount of rights that we have to express ours. I hope everything works out and goes according to plan. And what's the use in having a hit show if you can't have a little controversy to it?" said Pasko.

Pasko will be the guest on this week's edition of Newscenter 11's On the Record, where he will talk about the controversy, among other things. He'll also play some music Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on WTOK.
