Louisville, Miss. A Mississippi state lawmaker says Louisville will get a fully functioning mobile hospital within a matter of days.
State Sen. Giles Ward of Louisville shared that information with Newscenter 11 in an interview Thursday.
Winston Medical Center is currently closed due to extensive damage from a tornado Apr. 28.
University Medical Center has a portable Emergency Unit set up in the Louisville Wal-Mart parking lot. This is the place to go for emergencies. The unit has doctors and nurses on staff and it's able to conduct lab and X-ray services.
Ward said the 'hospital on wheels' will be brought from South Carolina within 36 hours.
