Two buildings at Meridian Community College were dedicated to prominent men who have been instrumental in assisting education efforts in meridian and the surrounding area.
The Multi-Purpose Center was named after Tommy Dulaney. The MCC Adult Basic Education Building was named after Ralph Young, Jr.
"It really places an emphasis on one of my key areas of education, that is, GED, general equivalency diploma," said Young. "It gives citizens who never received a high school diploma an opportunity to get a GED."
Young's term on the board of trustees will end this year and he is retiring from his law practice and moving to New Orleans.
