Weatherizing your home can help reduce your energy bills this winter.
Multi-County Community Service Agency shared information about its weatherization program Tuesday at EMEPA.
MCCSA serves elderly, low-income and disabled residents in nine Mississippi counties.
Residents may apply to have their dwellings tested for energy efficiency. Officials say taking the time to do things like caulking around windows and doors and adding insulation can save money over time.
"I can assure you once they're weatherized, they're warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer," said MCCSA director Callie Cole. "And it also reduces the utility cost."
Call MCCSA at 601-483-3860. Its weatherization service area includes Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Newton, Wayne, Neshoba, Scott and Smith counties.
