Meridian High School recognized students who scored well on academic tests in May.
Those who were in the advanced and proficient categories on state testing were honored Friday.
MHS has also added a Walk of Fame to showcase the students who scored at an advanced level.
Principal Victor Hubbard says this allows the students to leave a legacy of achievement for others to follow.
"This is so important to our students, so that they can know that we are supporting academics," said Hubbard. "It is also important to our students so that they can come back and remember the great job that they did when they were once students at Meridian High School."
The giant paw prints of the Walk of Fame are located in front of the auditorium. New names will be added after each testing cycle.
