MHS Grad Wins TATU Scholarship

A Meridian High School graduate is headed to college in the fall and will be taking some scholarship money she won through participation in Teens Against Tobacco Use.

Justice Lynch received a $2,000 check Monday from the American Lung Association.

As a member of the Mississippi Tobacco-Free Coalition, Lynch has been active in speaking out about the hazards of smoking and using tobacco products.

Lynch says she believes second-hand smoke caused her grandfather's lung cancer.

Lynch will attend Rust College in the fall on an academic honors scholarship.
