MHS Hosts Believe in Blue Day

Meridian High School held its first Believe in Blue Day to share what's happening there with the community.

The public was invited to tour the school and learn about new programs, including the new small learning communities where students can pursue their own interests.

School officials say it's an opportunity for people to see the good things going on at MHS.

"The reception has been awesome. The community has really came out today and support the students. We've even had a graduate from the class of 1961 come out here today to tour the campus, so it's been a wonderful day," said principal Victor Hubbard.

Hubbard says there were more than 200 guests Thursday. MHS plans to do this again next year.
