Meridian police say a person reported being shot in the leg early Wednesday as he drove a vehicle.
Officers responded at 2 a.m. to a local hospital when a patient came in for treatment of the wound.
Police were told the victim was traveling on Russell Drive when a round came through the door and struck his leg.
A gray vehicle may have been involved but no further information was available.
The victim has since been released from the hospital.
