Meridian, Miss. The Meridian Symphony League is preparing for its biggest fundraiser of the year, the MSO Crawfish Boil.
It will take place Saturday, April 19th at the Frank Cochran Center. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the crawfish boil runs until 11 p.m. The local band "Second Chance" will perform live in addition to all you can eat crawfish. All the profits raised will benefit the Meridian Symphony Orchestra.
"By far, it's our biggest fundraiser out of the year. We raise almost ten thousand dollars or more every year for the Symphony Orchestra, so they can operate throughout the year," said Lauren Pratt of the Meridian Symphony League. That helps pay for instrumentalists to come and play in concerts to pay for education programs, community outreach, things like that."
Tickets can be purchased for 25 dollars in advance and 30 dollars at the door. They can be purchased at Harry Mayer Clothiers, Belle G, The Daily Grind, Cater's Market, The Deli on 5th, and the Meridian Symphony House. People are encouraged to arrive early. For more information, you can call (601) 693-2224.
