MSU Meridian Division of Business Set to Host an Expo

Meridian, Miss MSU Meridian division of business will be hosting a business expo on Tuesday June 17. Candy Adams with MSU meridian says this is a chance for the school to show off what they have to offer. She says that the graduates are more than prepared to meet the needs of businesses here locally.

Candy Adams, the recruiting coordinator, says "Our business graduates have the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the growing needs of businesses and industry in our community and also in the region."

Adams says that they not only offer degrees in health care management, but every year have several students selected for internships at local health care facilities.

She says "On average, ten students a year do internships with our local health care facilities. Internships give our students practical experience in the field to put on their resumes and exposure to the executive responsibilities as health care managers."

The expo, which is next Tuesday, is all about opportunity, opportunity for students, businesses, and prospective students.

"We want to offer the opportunity to our business community and our business leaders and all our community college transfer students, offer the opportunity to come down here, learn more about our division of business and also learn about what we have to offer at the downtown campus,” according to Adams.

This business expo is free to attend and is a come and go expo from 2 to 5 pm. During that time they will be giving tours of the downtown campus for anyone wishing to see it.
