Mississippi State University athletic director, Scott Stricklin, says the freshly renovated Davis Wade Stadium is ready for Saturday's kickoff against Southern Mississippi.
Stricklin said touch-ups will continue as the Bulldogs go on the road in September. He says work such as completing trim and adding another coat of paint to some walls will be going on for a few weeks.
The renovations cost nearly $75 million. They include boosting the number of seats from about 55,000 to more than 61,000. Stricklin says new premium seating is already sold out.
There also are new elevators and more restroom and concession stand capacity, wider concourses, additional lighting, and a second video board. Now there's a video board on both the north and south sides of the stadium.
