Meridian, Miss. A Meridian hospital had to take extra security measures after a shooting victim arrived there early Tuesday morning.
Meridian police say the shooting victim showed up at the Anderson Emergency Room about 6:15 a.m. with an accidentally self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg.
Anderson officials say because they were unsure of the details, they took elevated security measures as a precaution while police investigated.
The MPD says the person wounded is in critical condition.
