A local writer got a chance to open her world to a group of students at Meridian High School.
Ann McKee, a writer and storyteller, spoke to students in Advanced English about a career in writing.
McKee says there are many ways to do it, and it can be very fulfilling.
"Today, with the world of technology, your writing can be on the desk of publishers in seconds," said McKee. "And these students should be aware as they move into college and their careers."
McKee says Mississippi has a great literary heritage, and someone in this class might one day contribute to it.
