Meet and Greet Planned for New Chief

A local church will host a meet and greet for Meridian's new police chief on Sunday.

Chief James Reed will be on hand at his home church, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The church is located at 2614 13th Street in Meridian.

Reed was hired in late July to replace the retiring Lee Shelbourn.
