The money is specifically for streetscape and pedestrian improvements in the African American business district.

MDOT Commissioner Dick Hall will be in Meridian for a press conference on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the corner of 5th Street and 25th Avenue. The event is open to the public.
