Lauderdale County, Miss. Mississippi's first African American Methodist bishop made a stop in Lauderdale County on Sunday.

Bishop James Swanson was the guest speaker at Lauderdale United Methodist Church for the kick off of the fall revival.

The church is part of a fourteen church group known as the cluster along the Highway 45 corridor. All fourteen churches invited the bishop to be a part of the ceremonies.

Part of the revival's mission is to raise money for the Wesley Foundation and 'Nothing but Nets.'
